  • Connected self-driving traffic
    - Multi-trajectory optimization on various highway facilities (e.g., signalized arterials, freeways, intersections, etc.)
    - Interactions between human driven and self-driving vehicles
    - Shared mobility with connected self-driving traffic
    - Empirical analysis and theoretical models of traffic congestion evolution
  • Connected infrastructure systems
    - Interdependence between heterogeneous infrastructure systems (e.g., electrical vehicles and power grids via V2G)
    - Cascading disruption modeling
    - Resilient infrastructure systems design
    - Sensor network deployment
