Trotz joined the USF Civil and Environmental Engineering Department as an assistant professor in Fall 2004. She recently completed post doctoral research with Prof. James O. Leckie at Stanford where she lectured and worked on the characterization of titania coated particles for the photochemical oxidation of organic contaminants. During her post doc she also lectured and completed research at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She was the recipient of a National Science Foundation Minority Graduate Fellowship. Areas of Expertise Her research focuses on the application of chemical principles to the study and manipulation of pollutant behavior (e.g. arsenic) in natural aquatic systems and in engineered processes. |
